Responsibility
- we are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Design Engineer to join our client's growing team
- as a Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of industry-leading products
- collaborate with internal teams to define design requirements and specifications for new products or product enhancements
- you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and marketing, to design, develop, and enhance their product portfolio
- create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings using industry-standard design software
- conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing to validate design concepts and optimize performance
- perform design analysis, including stress and thermal simulations, to ensure product integrity
- collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimised for production processes and cost-effective
Requirements
- HNC or above in a relevant field would be preferrable
- working experience in mechanical design
- proficiency in using 3D CAD software
- strong understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
- experience with design analysis tools and simulation software is a plus
- proven track record of successfully delivering complex design projects on time and within budget
- excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges
- strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
