- A recognised qualification, such as an HNC or HND in Mechanical Engineering, would be beneficial but is not essential
- soldering and knowledge of electrical component integration and testing
- practical electromechanical, build and assembly skills working on complex electromechanical systems, high precision mechanisms, wiring harness etc
