- increase the number of new contacts for the purpose of arranging visits and appointments to new or potential customers
- add too, delete, alter and maintain the customer database and ensure it is kept updated and current
- ensure that customer visits and appointments have been planned and well managed, are necessary, and fulfilled on time
- ensure all customers are contacted and visited frequently and consistently
- record all contact and visits
- evaluate individual sales forecasts against actual sales and devise and instigate remedial action if failing to meet the forecast
- ensure that all “marketing” material such as samples and literature is well distributed and utilized
