Responsibility

  • assessing resident needs through robust Support Planning and Risk Assessments and obtaining necessary information from other agencies
  • ensuring that all residents' records are accurately maintained
  • promote independent living, confidence building, self-awareness, training, education, employment opportunities, and participation in the local community
  • enable residents to develop and implement their support plan needs and risk assessments
  • promote resident involvement in shaping and monitoring services so they have real choice and control over the service they receive
  • ensure that resident support plans and risk assessments are followed and contributed to regular reviews of these plans for individuals to achieve the most outstanding possible control over their own life
  • assist residents in managing and maximising their finances effectively and monitoring personal bills and weekly budgeting, e.g., food and clothes shopping where appropriate

Requirements

  • appropriate professional or vocational qualification – desirable. NVQs 2-3, Autism awareness, Makaton, PMVA/ MAPA training

Requirements

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills, with good attention to detail
  • previous experience of supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum conditions
  • previous experience of holding CQC registrations would be advantageous
  • A relevant qualification to Health and social care level 5 will be required
  • A demonstrable understanding of the principles and operational impact and implementation of person-centred active support and person-centred practice
  • full UK driving licence
  • detailed knowledge of CQC standards and requirements and the ability to embed and maintain these standards within the services you are registered for
  • A visible commitment to person centred values and the ability to develop, support and maintain an open, reflective and accountable culture underpinned by ethical practice, dignity and rights

  • you will attend and participate in appropriate service meetings, including but not limited to bi-monthly Registered Manager Meetings
  • you will demonstrate a transparent and positive approach when dealing with complaints, accidents, incidents, near misses, safeguarding alerts or
  • any other duties as deemed necessary by the service
  • you will act on concerns, complaints, and compliments using the appropriate internal processes are followed, ensuring learning is generated and shared
