Responsibility
- assemble and disassemble scaffolding structures according to project specifications and safety regulations
- collaborate with site supervisors and other tradespeople to ensure effective workflow and project completion
- use hand tools and power tools to fabricate scaffold components as needed
- ensure all scaffolding is plumb, level, and secure before use
- conduct regular inspections of scaffolding for safety compliance and maintenance needs
- assist in the preparation of work areas by performing tasks such as painting, masonry, or electrical work when required
- maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards at all times
Requirements
- proven experience as a Scaffold Builder or in a similar construction role
- proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications related to scaffold construction
- strong understanding of safety regulations related to working at heights and scaffold assembly
- physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and work on roofs or elevated platforms
- excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to plumb structures accurately
- experience in carpentry, masonry, or electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory
