Responsibility
- responsible for all health and safety matters of the UK and Ireland business
- prepare and review the H&S corporate monthly report from the UK & Ireland active projects
- formulate emergency procedures, such as fire alarm and evacuation testing. Manage emergency personnel such as fire marshals and first-aiders
- develop and implement a focused Health & Safety strategy, policies and procedures in accordance with statutory regulations, including setting goals for the business, and formulating the plans and resources required to achieve these goals
- maintain knowledge of all Health and Safety legislation, implementing any new practices and procedures required to ensure the company remains legally compliant
- ensure general and specific risk assessments are carried out and recorded in line with both internal and external health and safety requirements, whilst embedding a culture of positive risk management across all areas
- co-ordinate actions to assess, eliminate or minimise any accidents, safety risks and hazards across the business. Advise staff on how to avoid risks and hazards and improve general health and safety standards within the workplace
- ensure incident reports, incident investigations and witness statements are compiled and collated in accordance with relevant policies and procedures, ensuring relevant action is taken to prevent further similar incidents
