BONUS SUNDAY FUN DAY OFF.DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DONT HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN UK .WORK LIFE BALANCE .Be part of a small, friendly and dynamic team to deliver a smart casual service in a British institution serving simple and high quality food for more than 45 yearsOur contracts are flexible and can be tailored around your needs either you are a student or have a side activity.This is a physically demanding role however well rewarded with room to grow in a great teamMain Duties include (but not limited to): Assists the Head Chef and the team to deliver a high quality dining experience to meet wide ranging culinary experienceAssists with the preparation, cooking and serving of food complying with policies and legislation in relation to quality, quanitity, food hygiene and portion control.Assists with stock management and control as instructed.keeps all the necessary records as instructed (manual and computerised) for internal and external audits e.g. EHO, Trading Standards etc.Supports a clean as you go regime within the kitchen. Assists with regular deep cleaning in accordance with company policy and food hygiene and safety standards.Assists the Kitchen Porter when neededEnsures that he or she operates all kitchen equipment particularly fridges, freezers and other similar appliances as instructed and in accordance with manufacturers specifications and food safety standards.Wears kitchen uniform and PPE where appropriate.Observes business etiquette and confidentiality at all times.Observes restaurant procedures and protocols at all times.The job holder is responsible for his/her own health and safety.The job holder will attend training courses, Company meetings and other team events as required.

Assists the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef to deliver a high quality dining experience to meet wide ranging culinary experience(executive dining, set menus, breakfast, buffet, bar snacks etc.) Assists with the preparation, cooking, serving and ordering of food complying with policies and legislation in relation to quality, quanitity, food hygiene and portion control and due diligence.In the absence of the Head Chef or the Senior Sous Chef deals with customer complaints about food service issues, escalates these to more senior management as appropriate.Ensures that all the necessary records are maintained (manual and computerised) and available for internal and external audits e.g. EHO, Trading Standards etc.Works with the Head Chef to ensure that the highest standards of food hygiene and food safety within the kitchen and bar areas. Assists with the training and development of less experienced catering and kitchen staff.Ensures that the staff food policy is followed with no unauthorised food leaving the kitchen.Supports a clean as you go regime within the kitchen. Assists with regular deep cleaning in accordance with company policy and food hygiene and safety standardsEnsures that all kitchen equipment particularly fridges, freezers and other similar appliances are working efficiently and to manufacturers specifications and food safety standards.Ensures that all staff wear kitchen uniform and PPE where appropriate.
