  • taking an active role in our clients' routine
  • previous work with additional needs is essential for this position
  • taking a proactive approach in engaging with activities and programmes in place to ensure that she is kept occupied and stimulated
  • you should be proactive and able to slot into family life easily
  • we are looking for a team of support workers to provide care & support to an intelligent 25 year old lady with cerebral palsy, who requires assistance at home and to access activities in the community
  • she is unable to communicate verbally but uses Dynavox eye-gaze technology and eye movements to communicate more specific information about how she is feeling and what she wants to do
  • her cognitive level of understanding and ability is very good so it is important that she gets age related stimulation. She has a very good sense of humour
  • candidates must have the physical ability to conduct manual handling tasks utilising a ceiling & mobile hoist and be able to work as part of a team and interact with parents and siblings effortlessly and with respect
