- ensuring vehicles are loaded and unloaded in a safe and proper manner using lifting trucks
- safely stockpile various types of recyclable materials
- ensuring materials are stored in accordance with company policy
- ensuring daily checks are completed
- co-ordinating with other operatives to ensure the correct processing of materials
- carrying out final inspections of inwards and outwards materials
- communicating with customers, drivers and contractors who visit the site
- ensuring the working area is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times
