Requirements

  • relevant NVQ/QCF qualification
  • mandatory training in the care sector, manual handling, first aid, health and safety, infection control. Etc
  • knowledge of care standards and Care Council code of conduct
  • providing personal care for a vulnerable person
  • previous experience of working in a care home, preferably with those dementias
  • at least one-year supervisory experience in a social care or nursing setting
  • knowledge and understanding of dementia and people with dementia
  • qualified to QCF Level 5 Standard in health and social care or equivalent
