Responsibility
- being proactive in implementing system changes and developing processes for the department
- build relationships internally as well as with suppliers as their key contact to ensure queries are resolved effectively and efficiently
- an opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Manager to join a business that is regarded as one of the best and most modern garment embellishment companies in the UK
- communicating information from suppliers to the sales team, such as incoming price changes, core items, and arranging new product meetings
- they lead the market in producing branded promotional clothing and uniforms for some of the world’s most prestigious brands such as Google, Poker Stars, Amazon, and many more, and are looking for someone to lead the team and take it to its next level
- raise purchase orders, whilst adhering to all relevant procedures
- reporting to the Operations Director, your role will be to oversee the day-to-day workings of the team, overseeing the management of stock hold though the system to ensure core items are identified, held and replenished and reporting back to management
- monitoring future jobs to ensure stock is ordered in advance and in time for production to commence
Requirements
- excellent coordination and organisation skills with the ability to work under own initiative, and ability to work to deadlines
- A firm understanding of the purchasing process and wider impact on business
- excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong and compelling relationships
- an innovative and creative approach to problem solving
- excellent negotiating skills with strong written and verbal communication
- strong numerical skills with the ability to work accurately with data
- purchasing: 1 year
- A willingness to learn with a flexible, can-do attitude, to go above and beyond in all tasks given to meet the demands of the business
