Responsibility

  • provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
  • assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management
  • support individuals in participating in community activities and social events
  • help individuals develop and maintain independent living skills
  • document and report any changes in behavior or health status to the appropriate supervisor
  • collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being of the individuals

Requirements

  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • patience and empathy when working with individuals with disabilities
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of individuals
  • knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is preferred, but not required
