Responsibility

  • we are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team at the Anchor Inn in Hartland
  • the ideal candidate should come from a predominantly fresh food background to help prepare and deliver our seasonal British pub menu
  • wage can be hourly or salaried and is dependent on experience
  • prepare ingredients and menus to the required specifications, as laid out by the Head Chef
  • we are keen on environmentally-friendly products, infrastructure, and work processes with a growing emphasis on vegan food
  • assist in the planning and development of recipes
  • check inbound stock quality and organise accordingly

Requirements

  • great interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • ability to remain composed, particularly during stressful or busy circumstances
  • physically fit and able to remain working on your feet for prolonged periods of time
  • A passion for food and drink
  • flexible and able to work unsociable hours, including bank holidays, evenings and weekends
  • minimum one year experience as Chef de Partie or Sous Chef with a minimum two years experience of working in a fresh food kitchen
  • due to the nature of the role, applicants must be aged 18 and over
