perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, and polishing surfaces in resident rooms, common areas, and staff spaces
maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all areas, including bathrooms, dining areas, lounges, hallways, and offices
collect, sort, wash, dry, and fold laundry while ensuring proper care and handling of residents' clothing and linens
adhere to established infection control policies and procedures, following cleaning protocols to prevent the spread of infections
collaborate and communicate effectively with other staff members to ensure smooth operations
respond promptly and courteously to residents' requests, providing assistance and support as needed

Requirements

previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role is preferred
knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, infection control protocols, and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and lift/move heavy objects if required
reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
understanding and sensitivity towards the needs and privacy of older adults
