bookkeeper
Responsibility
- being in charge of bookkeeping of all project companies up to Trial Balance
- sales invoicing , within strict deadlines
- our client is a firm member of the Electricity Transmission industry; specialising in tactical investment and specialise in projects in European transmission industries
- the highly successful projects operate and maintain cables that connect offshore wind farms to onshore power grids through a SPV structure regulated under the UK OFTO regime
- prepare payment instructions to banks
- this role will sit in the wider Finance team of 6 Qualified Professionals, and the purpose of the role is to take on the bookkeeping function initially, which was bought back in house in April 2023
- prepare/Review payment withdrawal notices
- the role would be suited to a newly qualified/part-qualified professional with related experience, who is studying AAT/ Working knowledge of SAGE 200 accounting software would be ideal
Requirements
- good bookkeeping and general accounting knowledge and proven ability to understand and apply it in practice
- part qualified accounting professional or practical accounting experience /commitment to formal accounting qualification
- understanding the key principles of VAT
- ability to recognize any issues and communicate effectively to more senior level staff
- pro-active, self-motivated, and highly organised
- excellent interpersonal skills; Strong team player
- ability to communicate effectively and build cooperative relationships with both internal and external contacts at all levels is critical
- enthusiastic and willing to learn and develop accounting skills
