quality assurance manager

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • to ensure that policies and procedures are effective and promote quality assurance, excellence, enhancement
  • management, development and update of quality assurance policy and procedures and related documentation
  • to ensure targets for enrolment, attendance, retention, attainment and progression are met for HE Business and Management students
  • to play a lead role in the initiation, development and implementation of major institutional projects and reviews
  • to work with senior College managers to ensure that there are appropriate academic structures and policies in place that enable the College to implement its academic strategy, its obligations to its students and which ensure that the College’s good name and reputation is protected and is compliant with external academic quality assurance, regulatory and legal frameworks
  • responsible for annual course and module monitoring
  • to ensure that the College meets Office for Students requirements on the timeliness, accuracy and accessibility of information on the nature of the student learning experience, to include oversight of all Programme Specifications and Handbooks;To play a leading role in shaping the quality management framework and the academic regulatory framework in order to promote academic standards of College awards and the quality of the student experience across all the College’s provision
  • support for the College’s student retention strategy

Requirements

  • ability to keep up to date on relevant policies and procedures in line with the duties identified in the job description
  • high level computer skills
  • enthusiasm, self-motivation and good communication skills
  • good team player and good sense of humour
  • ability to be self-motivated, flexible and well organised to manage, at times, unpredictable and variable workloads
  • demonstrable administrative experience, including minute taking and report writing
  • quality assurance: 2 years
  • sound knowledge of, or experience in, a Higher Education environment
