- 2 years or in excess experience of property claims, handling personal, commercial and buy-to-let claims
- good understanding of the insurance industry or financial background
Responsibility
- effective caseload management of claims from start to finish
- review and record claims on our in-house system within product standards, check policy coverage and allocate appropriate codes and reserves
- ensuring phone calls are answered and queries attended to via email within agreed service levels
- assisting colleagues where necessary with office duties
- make liability enquiries, in accordance with Adjuster’s Manual, using most appropriate method
- evaluate quantum by gathering relevant evidence, adjusting reserves in accordance with GB realistic reserving philosophy
- pro-active management of claims caseload
- clearly explain decisions on liability, negotiating settlement within authority level where appropriate
