- read and implement working policies and procedures of the Home and take advice and guidance provided by the management team
- to provide primary basic are and nurturing to help the children in the Home progress
- maintain clear and consistent boundaries in order to create a safe and secure environment within the Home
- be a positive role model
- being punctual, dress appropriate and act in a professional and supportive manner at all times
- work in conjunction with the rota to carry out sleeping shifts, be flexible in order to cover sickness and holidays
- to demonstrate professional and calm behaviour across a variety of situations
- to know and understand Risk Assessments, Behaviour Plans and apply these to day-to-day work
