Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • TIG Welder - £30k
  • ensuring safety procedures are always followed
  • you will be joining our client’s Eastbourne site, which has over 100 employees
  • performing manual and semi-automatic welding
  • proficient with welding processes – TIG, Shielded Metal Arc Welding
  • welding components in various positions such as Groove and fillet welds in plate and Pipe. ASME IX 1G-6G or equivalent
  • setting up components for the welding process as per specifications
  • our client, a leading advanced engineering company with a global reach, is seeking a Welder to join them on a full-time, permanent basis

Requirements

  • attention to detail
  • TIG welding experience essential
  • excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • ability to make decisions within guidelines and take responsibility
  • team working
  • ideally qualified to internationally recognised standards such as ASME IX, ISO 15614, AWS D1.1
  • experience of a similar role within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous
  • ability to meet tight time frames and work under pressure is important while ensuring the health and safety of yourself and others
