hgv driver
Responsibility
- safely and efficiently operate a variety of vehicles, including vans and flatbed trucks, to transport goods and materials
- load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and perform basic maintenance tasks as needed
- communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise
- maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
Requirements
- valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- warehouse experience: Familiarity with warehouse operations and the ability to navigate through inventory efficiently
- HGV Driving: 3 years
- flatbed experience: Proficiency in safely loading, securing, and unloading cargo on a flatbed truck
- mechanical knowledge: Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and the ability to perform minor repairs or troubleshooting
- commercial driving experience: Previous experience driving commercial vehicles, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations
- strong communication skills: Ability to effectively communicate with team members, customers, and dispatchers
- delivery driver experience: Experience in making deliveries and ensuring customer satisfaction
