  • apply sound understanding of engineering tolerances
  • ensure all designs are manufacture-ready, taking into account materials, tolerances, and fabrication techniques

Requirements

  • proven experience using SolidWorks in a fabrication or mechanical design environment

  • experience with a brake press is preferred, but training can be provided
  • carry out general fabrication tasks, including cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components
  • read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and welding
  • this role will involve both site work welding and general engineering tasks
  • operate and maintain welding equipment and tools in a safe and efficient manner
  • conduct site work welding and general engineering tasks as required

Requirements

  • certification in welding or fabrication
  • proven experience in MIG and TIG welding
  • previous experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • strong general fabrication skills on steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
  • familiarity with other welding techniques and metalworking tools
  • ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately
