workshop supervisor
Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- establish a strong working relationship with the production team
- working with directors to effectively plan and implement the Workshop Schedule ensuring the delivery of product to the dispatch dates
- planning and managing workload of in-house staff
- monitor operatives’ performance in terms of speed and quality of work and provide feedback / coach operatives where required
- liaise with Team Assistant for ordering raw materials for manufacturing needs
- monitor and develop the processes within the Workshop to improve efficiency and performance continuously
- drive continuous improvement of your team and processes within the workshop
- manage Health & Safety within the workshop
Requirements
- experience working within a production environment, woodworking or similar
- previous experience in a busy or fast-paced production / manufacturing environment
- understanding / knowledge of woodworking and manufacturing processes
- previous experience working with Manufacturing Documentation, Technical Drawings
- strong people management skills
- A quality driven precise approach to all tasks undertaken
- the ability to assess problematic situations, highlight and prevent
- good literacy and numeracy skills
