Competitive Salary - Dependant on experienceJob offer will be conditional on passing an ENG1JOB FUNCTION: TO MAINTAIN AS FAR AS PRACTICAL, IN GOOD WORKING ORDER ALL MACHINERY, ELECTRICS HYDRAULICS AND FIRE APPLIANCES ETCTHE SAFE OPERATION OF THE VESSEL ENSURING THE SAFETY OF PASSENGERS, CREW AND PROTECTION OF THE ENVIRONMENTHOURS OF WORK: 7 DAYS ON AND 7 DAYS OFFPrincipal Responsibilities· To ensure the vessel meets Company and legal safety standards so the vessels remain safe.· To follow relevant regulations and comply with the requirements of the Company’s Safety Management System.· To ensure that Motormen follow and comply with these regulations and requirements.· To organise and complete scheduled maintenance and re-fit work list.· Attend vessel during annual refits to supervise repair and for maintenance work· Ordering oils and spare parts, timeously, as service demands, within Company guidelines and authorisation levels· Reporting all technical problems or breakdowns affecting the operation of the vessel· To ensure that all required documentation is always completed and looked after/logged.· Ensure engine room and machinery spaces are clean and safe working areas· To carry out daily and periodic checks of all safety equipment and machinery, in conjunction with the Boatmaster.· To report any deficiencies or issues using the Company’s maintenance request procedure.· Requirement to work unsocial hours and provide on-call cover.· To participate in crew training and emergency drills.· To ensure the vessel is clean, tidy, and always well presented at all times.· The post holder may be required to undertake any other duties appropriate to the level of the post.· All other duties requested by the manager/Boatmaster.
