Responsibility

  • discuss business methods services with employers or clients to identify marketing requirements
  • establish appropriate quantitative and qualitative market research methodologies and prepare proposals outlining work programs and cost details
  • collect and interpret findings from market research, and present results to clients
  • engage in discussions with relevant departments regarding potential changes in design, price, packaging, promotion, etc., based on market research insights
  • brief the advertising team on client requirements, monitor the progress of advertising campaigns, and liaise with the client for potential modifications
  • conduct market analysis and competitor research to identify market trends, opportunities, and potential target segments
  • identify new business leads and potential clients through market research, networking, and outreach activities
  • build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to foster business growth

Requirements

  • BTEC/SQA award, A levels/H grades, a degree, or equivalent qualification
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively discuss business requirements, present research findings, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market research data and draw actionable insights
  • excellent organizational and project management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • proficient computer skills, including knowledge of market research tools and MS Office Suite
  • strong negotiation and persuasive abilities to engage with clients and close business deals
  • self-motivated and target-driven, with a proactive approach to business development
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team, fostering collaboration and cooperation
