Responsibility
- we are seeking an experienced, skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Rand Farm Park on a part-time basis
- financial Data Entry - Accurately record financial transactions including income, expenses, invoices, and payments into the accounting software
- accounts reconciliation - Regularly reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- accounts Payable and Receivable - Manage accounts payable by processing supplier invoices, issuing payments, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers
- handle accounts receivable by generating customer invoices, tracking payments, and following up on outstanding balances
- expense tracking - Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary guidelines. Provide insights on cost-saving opportunities
- communication - Collaborate with colleagues, management, suppliers, and clients to address financial queries, resolve discrepancies, and provide financial information as needed
- telephone enquiries – Answering enquiries regarding the farm parks attractions, opening times etc
Requirements
- to have the ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- excellent communication skills to interact with team members and external parties
- the ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to accurately manage and maintain financial records
- A friendly, confident and happy person, willing to help other team members and able to work in an unsupervised environment at various times
