Responsibility

  • work alongside the existing Finance Team to further develop the cost accounting function within the company
  • make estimates of new and proposed product costs
  • assist in stock audits by carrying out physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program
  • A good working knowledge of SAGE including SAGE Accounts, SAGE Payroll and Pensions is required
  • work alongside the existing Sales Team in the preparation of Job Costing Sheets providing statistical analysis of labour, materials and other job costs
  • assisting the finance team in the management of debtors, creditors, daily bank reconciliations, foreign currency transactions, statutory returns including VAT, Intrastat, CIS, PAYE and assisting with the preparation of management and financial statements

Education

  • certificate of Higher Education

Requirements

  • 2 years relevant work experience in a finance environment
  • high Level proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • good working knowledge SAGE Accounts
  • meticulous attention to detail with good organisational skills
  • ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • excellent report-writing, communication, and IT skills
  • cost Accounting: 1 year
