Responsibility

• provide a responsive and professional service to customers
• ensure PPE is worn at all times and H&S is adhered to
• the Grounds Maintenance Operative reports to the Grounds Maintenance Team Leader and is responsible for being part of a team to ensure delivering best performance & quality of workmanship on all ground’s maintenance works from start to finish on site

• carry out all duties in a manner and style that reflects the Company's values and respects all employees and customers
• the post is based at our Farnborough depot but working from other company locations may be required for extended periods to meet the needs of the business
• delivering a high quality of workmanship covering all aspects of Grounds Maintenance on sites , and ensuring all contracted KPI’s are met
• lead by example to all employees, valuing the contribution made by each member of the team
• carrying out all works in accordance with company Health, Safety & Environmental policies & procedures; as well as contract-specific Job Sheets, Risk Assessments and Method Statements
• proactively participate in and encourage Near Miss and accident reporting by colleagues to promote continuous improvement in health and safety performance and help to pre-empt the circumstances and practices under which injuries might be sustained in future

Requirements

• full Driving License
• good working knowledge of Grounds Maintenance and industry experience
• trailer/Towing Experience

• PA1 & PA6 Spraying qualifications
• CSCS Card preferred, but not essential
• health and Safety training preferred but not essential
• enthusiasm and drive to develop a career in the horticultural industry
• grounds Maintenance & Landscaping Occupations: 1 year
