- setting spring production equipment to make Helical & extensions springs
- implementing the quality system on a day to day basis
- taking corrective and preventive action
- initiate and participate in Continuous Improvement projects set by their supervisors / managers or own initiative
- setters have the authority to stop any manufacturing process in the event of a non-conformance
- setters have the responsibility for Quality on their respective shifts
- reading engineering drawings
- work safely, with regard for your duty of care to yourself and to others who may be affected by your work
Requirements
- producing Components using Hand Fitting Techniques
- preparing and using Lathes for Turning Operations
- preparing and using Milling Machines
- producing Mechanical Engineering Drawings using a CAD System
- preparing and using CNC turning machines
- preparing and proving CNC machine tool programs
