  • contractual knowledge and awareness
  • minimum 3 years of experience in a quantity surveyor role
  • numeracy skills
  • minimum 5 years of experience working in construction industry
  • detailed knowledge and experience of the technical elements of the construction industry
  • able to take responsibility for own personal development in line with the annual performance objectives
  • able to work under own initiative or as part of a small motivated team

Responsibility

  • manage financial aspects of sub-contractor packages including metal decking and concrete
  • manage cost control, utilising cost & value reporting & cash flow forecasting
  • produce monthly valuations
  • valuing and raising variations
  • attending and reviewing pre-contract meetings
  • review, comment and agree sub-contract orders
  • contract costing reviews
  • produce labour records per contract
