Responsibility
- reviewing service delivery against KPIs and SLAs to ensure suppliers are providing the correct service
- driving IT supplier accountability and continuous improvement
- acting as a conduit between the technology stakeholders and external suppliers finding creative ways to overcome problems
- taking a consultative, responsive and emotionally intelligent approach to bridge the gap between the business and vendor expectations
- chairing a range of supplier meetings for senior stakeholders, ensuring an appropriate agenda, papers from both parties and appropriate minutes
- working collaboratively with the IT subject matter experts to ensure the right level of involvement from them in the supplier interactions
- managing a small team of IT Supplier Relationship Managers, who will continually interface with subject matter experts in the UK and Offshore
- where possible, ensuring value add from supplier
Requirements
- ability to draft and negotiate strong contracts to meet business objectives including KPIs, SLAs and any additional relevant performance tracking requirements
- experience of operating effectively in a medium sized evolving environment, where process, policy and structure and still being developed
- ability to work confidently when processes are not fully defined, or in an environment where there are ambiguities
- to be self-motivated to own and manage the workload, use initiative and to work collaboratively as part of a team
- resilience working with a range of IT stakeholders
- in depth experience of performing a technical procurement and supplier management role within the IT/Technology space, including experience in software license management, services, hardware, telco and networks
- previous experience working a technical / operational IT role would be desirable
- proven track record of identifying and delivering cost savings and competitive and value add solutions to stakeholders across IT within an organisation
