operations manager

Responsibility

  • lead, coach and develop the IT Operations team
  • provision of 1st / 2nd line end user and application support services through the Service Desk and Infrastructure and Network engineers
  • contribute to the definition and drive the design and implementation of the Cyber Security roadmap
  • responsible for implementation of ISO27001, alignment with NIST-800 and planning for Cyber Essentials Plus in 2024
  • maintain service excellence across the teams through KPIs
  • provision of 1st line Information Security services ensuring incidents are managed and resolved, policies and procedures are regularly reviewed, and reporting of KPIs and KRIs are performed
  • manage the third-party Security Operations Centre MDR service provision to ensure all relevant use cases are implemented and managed and maintained in line with risk appetite and appropriate security related policies

Requirements

  • proven IT Operations leadership with a track record of delivering / exceeding service KPIs
  • ability to quickly develop a technical understanding of complex systems, processes, and integrations and how it impacts the user experience
  • excellent innovative problem-solving skills applying appropriate analysis methods and techniques
  • focus on quality and detail with ability to identify gaps and critically think through analysis
  • strong experience of implementing and management ITIL processes including Incidents, Requests, Problems, Change Management, Knowledge Management and CMDB design
  • group Policy and Certificate Services)Powershell scripting
  • strong analytical skills: adept at interrogating complex information to identify cause and effect and deliver accurate business forecasting
