Responsibility
- to ensure that services and support are provided in a person-centred way, using person centred approaches
- the day-to-day management and administration of the home in accordance with statutory regulations and company policies
- to be a registered manager responsible for the maintenance of registration standards as laid down in the Children’s Home Regulations and Care Standards 2015 and as regulated by OFSTED
- to be responsible for the supervision and appraisals of their staff time in line with regulation
- to contribute to the overall development and modernisation of services, and to ensure compliance with the aims and objectives of “valuing young people”
- the Registered Manager will maintain a Statement of Purpose and ensure the home functions in line with the Statement of purpose
- the care and safety of staff and of service users when they are residing at the unit or otherwise in the charge of unit staff
- the promotion of an environment conducive to a high standard of care in which service users can participate, according to their capacity and wishes
