Working hours
- full-time | Permanent
Responsibility
- checking prescriptions and medication orders for accuracy and completeness
- ensuring that all dispensing procedures are carried out in accordance with the pharmacy's SOPs and GPhC guidelines
- ensuring that all medication is correctly labelled and packaged
- handling and storing medication in compliance with the pharmacy's standard operating procedures
- advising customers on the safe and effective use of their medication
- assisting the pharmacist in the ordering, receipt and storage of medication and other pharmacy supplies
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent qualification
- registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- experience working as an Accuracy Checking Technician in a community pharmacy setting
- good knowledge of pharmacy operations, procedures and regulations
- excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- strong communication and customer service skills
- ability to work well in a team and individually
