Responsibility

  • preparation and distribution of monthly actual revenue versus budget departmental reports and monitoring recruitment revenue performance against budget
  • preparation of financial information for end of year accounts for both businesses to be signed off by external accountants
  • reconciling both company bank accounts including processing receipts and payments
  • prepare VAT returns and submit quarterly to HMRC
  • sign off payroll and pension submission prepared by an external accountant
  • contract Finance - consult with Main Contractors & Project Managers regularly with monthly valuations/retentions and reporting/cost management
  • compiling and analysis of recruitment activity reports exported from company CRM system. On a bimonthly, quarterly, and annual basis
  • providing book-keeping services, processing supplier invoices using Dext and organising them for online payment, preparing quarterly, P&L reports, processing income and receipts from customers and suppliers, credit control

Requirements

  • experience of Xero accounting system – ESSENTIAL
  • good communicator and an eye for detail is essential
  • ability to juggle day to day tasks with additional projects
  • ability to plan and prioritize workload and flow and achieve deadlines
  • financial accounting: 2 years
  • ideally qualified or QBE, with previous experience of a similar role Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting/finance ideally within recruitment or complementary sector
  • microsoft Excel: 3 years
  • commercial acumen and an ability to identify and develop system improvements and create business efficiencies
