Responsibility
- this role has a broad remit, with it bringing the opportunity to work in a unique environment, leading the ongoing development of visitor experience at both Portsmouth Historic Dockyard and Priddy’s Hard in Gosport, each site being of naval historical significance
Requirements
- be responsible for developing a long-term events and experiences strategy, with the aim of increasing visitor numbers and enhancing visitor experience
- plan and deliver events and promote the buildings and locations within the two sites for commercial event and activity hire
- develop the site catering offering as a daytime and evening destination
- create and promote boat charter packages, using our collection of historic vessels
- design site-wide interpretation of the public spaces at the two sites and of the built environment
- visitor attraction: 2 years
- please note that the successful candidate will need to obtain MOD security clearance and have resided in the UK for the past three years as a minimum
- ensure that our Boathouse 4 workshop and exhibition space are presented in an engaging and accessible way that enriches the visitor experience
