Responsibility

  • collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards
  • conduct regular market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, product improvements, and new sourcing opportunities
  • perform technical evaluations of products, assessing their compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements
  • support the development and maintenance of technical documentation, including product specifications, user manuals, and safety guidelines
  • conduct quality control inspections and audits to verify product performance, durability, and adherence to specifications
  • collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to provide technical expertise and support in product positioning, demonstrations, and training
  • assist the Product and Technical Director in the end-to-end management of the access product portfolio, including sourcing, evaluation, and selection of suppliers and products
  • assist in the resolution of customer enquiries, technical issues, and warranty claims, ensuring timely and satisfactory resolutions

Requirements

  • proven experience in a technical role, preferably within the low-level access equipment or industrial manufacturing industry
  • strong technical acumen and understanding of product development processes, including sourcing, evaluation, and quality control
  • excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines
  • proficiency in technical documentation and product specification writing
  • knowledge of safety regulations and industry standards pertaining to low-level access equipment
  • strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
  • bachelor's degree in engineering, product management, or a related technical field. Additional certifications or specialised training in product management or technical documentation is a plus
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers
