Responsibility
- this is a hands on role with a large amount interesting opportunities in engineering
- ensure cost effective maintenance of the equipment, plant and buildings
- we are a reputable, reliable and growing manufacturer who are expanding and looking for a reliable and dedicated Technical Engineer, to work within their fast moving environment
- provide a timely and efficient breakdown service to minimise machinery downtime
- ensure that the maintenance structure is optimised to provide the most efficient cover for the plant
- reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role is to support them in the day to day projects, breakdowns and to implement a robust planned maintenance system and optimise operational performance through planned maintenance and improvement activities in order to deliver high levels of plant availability and reliability to ensure production schedules and customer service requirements are met
- identify training requirements of your team
- lead by example, drive and adhere to health, safety and environmental working practices in accordance with company policies, procedures and legal requirements
Requirements
- completed a recognized engineering apprenticeship and/or hold relevant engineering qualifications in Electrical Engineering
- experience of maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- ability to prioritize and delegate workload and use own initiative in a fast paced production environment
- exposure and promotion of Health & Safety is essential
- proactive work attitude and keen to get stuck in
- friendly, adaptable and ability to inspire others
- team player
