junior sous chef

Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • run your section and support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • assist in the preparation of all menu items
  • coordinate food preparation with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef
  • ensure that all food is prepared in a timely manner and in compliance with quality standards and company policies
  • ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained
  • prepare meals for guests according to specifications and recipes
  • ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly with regard to scheduling, inventory, supply ordering, and sanitation standards
  • comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations

Requirements

  • previous experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen preferred
  • experience with food safety practices
  • experience with HACCP guidelines and testing requirements
  • ability to work cooperatively with other team members and ability to deliver quality results through collaboration skills
  • ability to read recipes and understand how ingredients interact with other ingredients and cooking methods
  • chef: 1 year
  • cooking: 2 years
