Responsibility

  • managing the day-to-day sales ledger and credit control processes
  • chasing overdue debts daily via email and telephone
  • taking card payments and raising invoices
  • allocating bank receipts
  • investigating and resolving queries relating to debt
  • reconciling Accounts Receivable balances and sending statements
  • issuing small claims and negotiating payment plans to recover debts
  • generally assisting admin and finance teams

Requirements

  • at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • previous knowledge of, or the ability to learn to use the accounting software Quickbooks, and job-allocation software SimPRO
  • sales Ledger / Credit control: 2 years
