Plonkers Wine Bar are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Bar Supervisor with a passion for great wine, food and hospitality with a mature and professional approach to work.Previous experience at a supervisory level in quality-driven, busy venues would be preferable, however whilst relevant experience is definitely a bonus, what matters most to us is attitude and enthusiasm - we want people with personality and presence who can guide and inspire the team around them and deliver consistently great experiences to our guests.Key skills must include:- Excellent customer service- Time and priority management- Effective in communication and leadership- The ability to train and develop staffResponsibilities will include:- Opening & Locking up business in general managers absence- Running a busy shift and managing staff between the bar, restaurant and the river.- Support and be a role model for your teams’ training and development- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and safetyJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £10.75-£11.25 per hourBenefits:Discounted or free foodSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftWeekend availabilitySupplemental pay types:TipsAbility to commute/relocate:York: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Work Location: In person
