Responsibility

  • the role involves creating a weekly menu plan, monitoring stock, placing weekly food orders and cooking the food for the children
  • ensuring the 'better food, better business' procedures are followed for the kitchen is key, as well as cleaning after each meal
  • applicants should hold or be happy to gain a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
  • lots of support is available to train you into the role
  • the hours are Mon to Thurs 2.30-5.30pm plus some admin time for planning and ordering food
  • our lovely after school club - Play Aloud Pirton - based in Pirton Village Hall, is currently looking to appoint a cook to join our close little team
  • the applicant should be an excellent team player and be able to contribute to the positive atmosphere of Play Aloud and enjoy working with children. If you sometimes wanted to provide cooking activities for the children too that would be wonderful
