Responsibility
- carry out internal wall insulation, loft insulation, room in roof insulation, and cavity wall insulation installations
- install heating controls, such as programmable thermostats and radiator valves
- ensure all installations comply with industry standards, regulations, and health and safety guidelines
- perform quality checks and inspections to ensure proper insulation and functionality
- the Insulation and Heating Controls Technician is responsible for carrying out a range of insulation and heating control installations in residential and commercial buildings
- maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation details, materials used, and any issues encountered
- the primary focus of the role is to improve energy efficiency and reduce heat loss by implementing various insulation measures and fitting heating controls
- prepare reports and documentation as required
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 in Insulation and Building Treatments
- knowledge and experience in insulation installation techniques and materials
- familiarity with heating control systems and their installation
- understanding of energy efficiency principles and building regulations
- ability to read and interpret technical specifications and drawings
- competence in using tools and equipment required for insulation and control installations
- strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
