Responsibility

  • develop and optimize paint pigment formulations, considering factors such as color, opacity, stability, dispersibility, and compatibility with various paint systems
  • conduct thorough research and analysis of pigment raw materials, evaluating their properties, performance, and cost-effectiveness
  • collaborate with cross-functional teams, including researchers, chemists, and production personnel, to translate research findings into scalable production processes
  • support scale-up activities by providing technical expertise and guidance during pilot plant and manufacturing trials
  • collaborate with customers and sales teams to understand their requirements, address technical inquiries, and provide technical support as needed
  • prepare and present technical reports, documentation, and presentations summarizing research findings, project progress, and recommendations to internal stakeholders and clients
  • design and execute experiments to assess the impact of different process variables on pigment properties and performance, and apply statistical methods to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions
  • troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to pigment formulation, manufacturing processes, or quality control to ensure consistent product performance and reliability

Requirements

  • bachelors or Masters degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred
  • proven experience in the development and optimization of pigment formulations, preferably paint pigments
  • strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles, materials science, and pigment technology
  • proficiency in experimental design, statistical analysis, and data interpretation
  • familiarity with process engineering and manufacturing techniques related to pigment production
  • excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • strong analytical mindset and attention to detail
  • effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
