Working hours

  • full-time

Responsibility

  • perform 6 weekly pmi's on Fleet of 30 trucks & vans
  • carry out repairs to fleet and sign off defect sheets
  • diagnose and repair mechanical problems, including brakes, suspension, transmission, clutches and engine systems
  • roadside breakdowns to own Fleet
  • change tyres on HGV'S and vans
  • light fabrication work/welding/repairs
  • liaise with Transport Manager & Supervisor
  • perform 6 weekly brake tests

Requirements

  • full HGV driving licence
  • knowledge of plant machinery would be beneficial
  • experience of welding would be beneficial
  • minimum 3 years previous mechanic experience
