Responsibility

  • conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines
  • oversee and manage the construction of civils projects, including laying foundations, building structures, installing utilities, and managing earthworks
  • provide technical advice, guidance, and support to the construction team, addressing any complex engineering issues or challenges that arise
  • work closely with the design team to interpret technical drawings, detailing structural steel components, and developing accurate construction plans
  • assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, such as method statements, risk assessments, and progress reports
  • collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring alignment with engineering principles and regulations
  • use AutoCAD software to prepare and modify detailed engineering drawings, ensuring accurate representation of construction projects
  • collaborate with stakeholders to identify potential design improvements, cost-saving strategies, and innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes

Requirements

  • relevant qualification relating to Civil engineering
  • proven experience working as a Site Engineer on civil projects, including involvement with structural steel components
  • proficiency in the use of total stations and other survey equipment
  • strong AutoCAD skills, with the ability to produce accurate engineering drawings and modify existing designs and produce as built data
  • possession of a valid driver's license
  • willingness to travel to various project sites and work occasional overtime when required
  • excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • excellent organizational and time management skills
