INTRODUCING THE ROLE OF Technical Support Engineer ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT You will be joining a creative and innovative technical engineering team, made up of two other engineers.The technical engineering department works on all matters relating to the function of existing or proposed products; so that the company’s product range can be competitively marketed to maximum commercial advantage. The technical department is part of a larger research and development department also made up of Automation & Production engineering. There are currently 15 engineers working in Research andDevelopment, 2 in Technical, 7 in Automation & 6 in production engineering. The three disciplines work closely together for collective creative thinking and problem solving.WHAT YOU’LL DO Reporting to the Technical Sales & Product Development Manager, The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for supporting the Technical Engineering and sales department on all matters relating to the function of existing or proposed products; so that the company’s product range can be competitively marketed to maximum commercial advantage. This includes working closely with our Manufacturing,Test and Quality Departments.DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Design and development of new & existing products.Design build and test electronic circuits.CAD/Solidworks/Technical drawings.Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education by managing customer.Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education by managing customer requirements.Solve client problems.Routine technical support.Support customers and distributors worldwide.Attend exhibitions worldwide.Working closely with engineering and marketing.PERSON SPECIFICATION Skills and attributes Essential Desirable
