Responsibility
- prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with established recipes and standards
- assist in food preparation as required, ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines
- maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including washing glassware and utensils
- engage with guests to provide excellent customer service, taking orders and responding to enquiries promptly
- manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service
- collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery between the bar and restaurant areas
- uphold health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, throughout all tasks
- assist in stock management by monitoring inventory levels and reporting shortages as necessary
Requirements
- previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key
- strong understanding of food safety practices is advantageous
- basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and managing tabs effectively
- excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- A passion for hospitality and guest services, with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated when required
- knowledge or experience in culinary practices is a plus but not mandatory
