Requirements
- electrical Design
- electrical design ability in EV low volume high power propulsion
- point to point wiring and loom design and manufacture
- knowledge and experience of CAN and Ethernet systems and other ancillary systems typically found in vehicles
- knowledge and experience in HV systems including contactors, fusing, MSD’s, HVIL, current shunts and transducers
- awareness of HV and LV harness routing for best EMC performance
- enthusiasm to help with any number of allied tasks
- A relevant Engineering Degree and at least 5 years experience in a similar role
Responsibility
- coordination and leadership of vehicle engineers/electricians
- completion of new and remaining design elements
- working with low/high voltage systems at design, mock-up, build and testing
- reading, understanding, creating schematics, harness drawings and circuit designs
- testing and commissioning of all electrical systems prior to vehicle integration and testing
- supporting the vehicle testing program
- creating clear and unambiguous work instructions detailing works to be carried out by the Electrical team
- ensuring all components, materials and tooling are available to undertake the work instructions
