Responsibility
conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for fire safety improvements
analyse and evaluate building designs and construction plans to identify potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with fire safety requirements
provide expert advice and guidance to clients on fire safety engineering principles and best practices
perform fire modelling and simulations to assess fire behaviour and the effectiveness of fire protection measures
collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire safety measures into building designs and renovations
prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and drawings related to fire protection systems
design and develop fire protection systems, including fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems, in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
review and evaluate fire protection equipment and technologies to ensure their suitability and effectiveness
Requirements
bachelor's degree in fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
proven experience working as a Fire Engineer, preferably in a consulting or engineering firm
in-depth knowledge of fire protection systems, codes, standards, and regulations
strong analytical skills with the ability to assess fire risks and propose effective solutions
proficiency in fire modelling software and other relevant engineering tools
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to clients and stakeholders
detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
professional certifications in fire engineering or fire safety are highly desirable
