Responsibility
- conduct comprehensive fire risk assessments and provide recommendations for fire safety improvements
- analyse and evaluate building designs and construction plans to identify potential fire hazards and ensure compliance with fire safety requirements
- provide expert advice and guidance to clients on fire safety engineering principles and best practices
- perform fire modelling and simulations to assess fire behaviour and the effectiveness of fire protection measures
- collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate fire safety measures into building designs and renovations
- prepare detailed engineering reports, specifications, and drawings related to fire protection systems
- design and develop fire protection systems, including fire detection, suppression, and evacuation systems, in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
- review and evaluate fire protection equipment and technologies to ensure their suitability and effectiveness
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in fire engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
- proven experience working as a Fire Engineer, preferably in a consulting or engineering firm
- in-depth knowledge of fire protection systems, codes, standards, and regulations
- strong analytical skills with the ability to assess fire risks and propose effective solutions
- proficiency in fire modelling software and other relevant engineering tools
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to clients and stakeholders
- detail-oriented with exceptional organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- professional certifications in fire engineering or fire safety are highly desirable
