Responsibility

  • the role involves writing/modifying existing software to control our products
  • need to understand Python for a few test programmes and the Pick & Place program generation
  • embedded Software. C167 processor, PIC chips and ARM chips. Understanding of I2C SPI, CANbus, UARTs etc
  • understand electronic circuit diagrams, for use with fault finding
  • realtime OS – RTOS – NETOS for Digi ethernet code
  • thread X used in new software
  • most of our software is written in C or C++
  • understand MIBs, SNMP, HTTP & TCP Sockets

Requirements

  • 5 years minimum, as an Embedded Software Engineer
  • embedded software: 5 years
